Job Title: Servers & Bartenders

Job Types: Full Time / Part Time

Location: Blue Duck Brewing Company, 79 Hurley Ave, Kingston, NY

Reports to: General Manager

Job Overview: We are looking for customer-focused servers and bartenders to join our flock! You will be preparing beers on tap, cocktails, wine, and coffees for customers while creating a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. If you’re passionate about craft beer and hospitality, have a strong work ethic, are organized, and work well with others, we’re looking for you. Building a strong team to service the community is our top priority.

Key Responsibilities: 

•  Must show up on time for scheduled shifts

• Greet all customers and provide friendly/ personal service to each customer

• Help guide and assist customers throughout their Blue Duck experience by anticipating needs with genuine hospitality.

• Everyone’s responsibility is to help build a strong culture

• Must have a good understanding of the food and beverage menu to provide the best possible description and execution of the menu items

• Take drink orders, prepare well executed cocktails and serve beer from our tap system

• Assist customers with Beers To-Go

• Demonstrate an understanding of craft beer and the offerings we brew

• Accurately and efficiently enter orders into our POS system

• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, and during opening / closing shifts. Practicing full hands and clean-as-you-go procedures

• Help clear and reset counters / tables at the conclusion of each guest visit

• Must be able to work well with others under high pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude

• Assist the Phoenicia Canteen team as need be, all hands on deck 
  

Qualifications:

• Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred

• TIPS certification, or willing to obtain one

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills

• Able to work on their feet for long periods of time

• Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick action to enhance the customer experience

• Excellent conflict resolution skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of bartending or serving experience
